Request for Qualifications (RFQ)
for Conceptual Site Planning
Introduction: The Town of Van Wyck, South Carolina is seeking qualified firms to provide professional services for Site Layout and Trail Planning. The project objective is to develop a master plan for development of a piece of town-owned property. The goal of this master plan is a phase-able development layout and associated report document that incorporates; 1) Budget-minded development of municipal property, 2) Enhanced recreational opportunities for community members and, 3) Environmental stewardship promotion.
Project Overview:
- Location: Van Wyck South Carolina
- Scope of Work: The selected firm will be responsible for:
- Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies
- Developing conceptual site layouts
- Coordination and discussions with Town officials
Submission Requirements: Interested firms shall submit the following:
- Cover Letter: A brief introduction of the firm and its interest in the project.
- Qualifications: Detailed information on the firm's experience with similar projects, including project descriptions, client references, and key personnel (with resumes).
- Relevant Experience: Provide a brief project profile for one to three projects of similar scope and magnitude completed within the last five years.
- Approach: A description of the firm's approach to the project, including information about rates and project costs, methodologies, timelines, any innovative solutions, etc.
* The submittal package is limited to ten pages or less including cover letter and index pages.
Evaluation Criteria: Submittal packages will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Qualifications of the firm and key personnel (20%)
- Relevant and applicable experience (20%)
- Quality and feasibility of project approach (40%)
- Proximity and familiarity with Van Wyck and local development context (10%)
- Quality of the submittal (10%)
Submission Deadline: All submissions must be received by October 30, 2024 at planning [at] townofvanwyck.net (planning[at]townofvanwyck[dot]net).
Pre-submittal Meeting: A non-mandatory pre-submittal meeting will be held on Oct 16, 2024 at 6:30 PM at the Van Wyck Presbyterian Church, 5140 Old Hickory Rd. Lancaster, SC 29720. (30 minutes prior to the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting.)
