All businesses located within the Town of Van Wyck, or performing work within the Town limits, are required to obtain a business license each year, including: Home-based businesses, Store-front businesses, Contractors, Rental Property Owners, Real Estate Agents, Cleaning and Janitorial Services, Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC Technicians, Appliance Repair, Pest Control, Garbage Collection, Landscapers, Various Mobile Services, etc.
Businesses are required to pay an annual business license tax. Each yearly license shall be issued for a twelve-month period of May 1 - April 30.
Business License renewals are due April 30th of each year. A late penalty of five (5%) of the unpaid tax will be required for each month late until paid.
The license tax for businesses that are located within Town limits is calculated on the total gross revenue reported on the prior year's Federal Income tax return.
The license tax for businesses that are located outside of Town limits, but doing business inside of town, is calculated based on the total gross contract value of the project.
If you are a new business, your business license tax is calculated on projected gross revenue for the first year of operation.

New Business Licenses
1. Complete the Business License Application and sign.
2. Submit the application along with proof of gross income to:

3. Staff will review and determine the license fee and provide applicant with an invoice for the amount due.
4. Applicants may pay online, by phone or mail in a check or money order.
